Seeking Guidance on Managing Urgency/Priority of a CloudWatch Alarm Trigger in PagerDuty

I’m currently facing a challenge with managing the urgency or priority of incidents triggered by CloudWatch alarms in PagerDuty, and I’m seeking some guidance and best practices from the experienced members of this community.

Here’s the scenario: We have several CloudWatch alarms set up to monitor various aspects of our AWS infrastructure. When an alarm triggers, PagerDuty is automatically notified, and an incident is created. However, not all of these incidents are equally urgent. Some may require immediate attention, while others can wait a bit.

I’m looking for ways to fine-tune the incident management process in PagerDuty to better reflect the urgency or priority of each CloudWatch alarm, basically set the urgency or priority [CRITICAL/HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW] on PagerDuty when the incident is created. Are there any strategies or configurations that can help with this?
